I have 5 years of Independently Managing a wide variety of Residential and Commercial Property Claims including Complex, Large Scale, & Total Loss and Catastrophic Claims from inception to closure. I have a genuine concern for my client’s situation––bringing empathy, compassion and a sense of urgency while shepherding them through the claims process. This includes: thoroughly investigating, assessing and meticulously documenting all aspects of the damage, correspondence and photographs. I manage multiple simultaneous claims and know how to prioritize cases, evaluate policies, estimate losses, and coordinate scheduling with contractors. I remain in contact with clients and contractors regarding issues, concerns and expectations in order to expedite completion of the work and resolve the claim in a timely manner.I’ve been sent to areas which have been hit with truly catastrophic events––hurricanes, tornadoes, fires, etc.––and have seen the anguish and despair of those who are still in disbelief as it dawns on them that many––if not all––of their positions are gone. I listen with compassion, empathy, and sincerity to those who have experienced devastating and sudden losses. It is my desire to help them recover as much as possible as their policies are designed to provide. I’m collaborative and enjoy being part of a team. I have a talent for leadership, empowering and educating others, and foster an environment of respect where people work together for the benefit of the customer. Prior to my work as a Claims Adjuster, I gained considerable experience and knowledge of home building remodeling, and restoration in the construction industry. I have done inspections and environmental assessments involving remediation of various hazards (asbestos, lead, molds, etc.) as well as catastrophic restoration following damages caused by water pipe bursts, sewer backups, etc. I am organized and efficient in managing and coordinating timely project completion. I’m very familiar with paperless environments using MS Office, Xactimate, Xactianalysis, SettleAsist, Filetrack, EagleView and Hover software applications to create reports and support documentation.
