Member of the Menon Laboratory, researching how lipids are trafficked inside cells and the roles that such processes play in cell membrane biogenesis, homeostatic control, and protein glycosylation. Independently plan, coordinate, and execute experiments investigating protein-mediated lipid trafficking and N-glycosylation.Investigate structural and functional properties of a poorly-understood but vital E.R. protein via biochemical assays in modified gene expression states such as RNAi and Tet-off systems.Generate research-driven tools such as CRISPR- and lentiviral-induced stable mammalian cell lines, plasmids expressing epitope- and/or fluorescently-tagged proteins, and purified recombinant proteins of interest.Perform various biochemical assays, imaging experiments, and other technical duties to assist in research activities of the laboratory. Prepare and maintain detail records, logs, and summary reports of all procedures and results including graphs, scientific calculations, and statistical analysis charting.
