Working in this position involved a lot of stakeholder management effort, as there were 2 main projects, and both were stakeholder driven.The first project was to deliver a series of training courses to candidates from the Libyan Ministry of Education, candidates were early childhood education teachers and specialists from all over the country, and my responsibility was to go over the content with the instructors to make sure that it aligns with the project objectives, something I was able to carry out with a great leve of success due to my good instructional and training design and delivery background.The second project was more hands on (literally), where I teamed up with another officer to:Step 1: Select 10 early childhood education centers in Benghazi that qualify to receive aid in the form of toys and equipmentStep 2: Conduct a "needs analysis" in order to identify the needs of those institutionsStep 3: Purchase, deliver, and document the receiving of the toys and equipment in 10 ECECsWhich took us about 4 weeks to complete, with a great deal of success measured against the satisfaction of the ECECs with the goods delivered "in a good time" according to them.

As Project Control Engineer, I was responsible for the review and approval of project design/construction baseline schedules including: time, cost, and full project resource planning and assignments.AECOM was hired by the Housing and Infrastructure Board of Libya as Program Management Consultant, responsible for 200+ projects in the whole country.In the short time working with AECOM (ending in the 2011 unrest), I was assigned 74 projects to go over, evaluate, and push contractors or assess them by providing the necessary support and training to comply with AECOM scheduling requirements, and I was able to work with the following projects:1. One of the projects was denied a recommendation for baseline approval for not apparent good standing reason, and I was able to push the Construction Supervisor towards a positive decision by leading a training workshop with the Construction Supervisor's engineers and the contractor's schedulers and planners, and we were able to reach a positive decision by the end of the workshop (just clarified some misconeptions)

The town of Sultan (35km North of Ajdabiya), was a 70 hectares village, with the project objectives being to check the utilities networks design, and building them within budget and time.I served both as project manager and Technical Director for the project, bringing about 3 years of engineering (civil) design into the project, with 2 years of experience in a similar project, I was able to:1. Uncover a major design issue by inspecting the survey of the area, as there was a critical mistake that led to the redesign of the water, sewage, and drainage networks, based on this finiding I submitted a changed request for 720k LYD (equivalent to half a million dollars)2. Identify 600+ road obstables, and request clarification from the client on the process that would lead to resolving the obstacles issue in order to commence construction3. Educate the client and construction supervisor on proper dependency management by developing a detailed schedule for design and construction activities and deliverable4. Develop both Quality Management and OSH plans for the project, along with the project schedules, and receive client and construction supervisor approval in a short time

CQG was the construction contractor for the utilities and roads networks in 6 towns in the east of Libya, with each town being a project under this program - 2 project managers and the engineering director attended several of my trainings, and offered me a position to transfer the proper knowledge required to kick-off the program scheduling on a good start.I accepted the position, and started working as a Project Planning Coordinator, leading 12 schedulers to plan 6 infrastructure projects.I was able to improve and unify their know-how on the use and implementation of the software (Oracle Primavera) for project scheduling, especially when it comes to the fine tuning of resource assignments.I laid the gounrd for a high-level of communication between the project planning team members, and they starting using the software and utilizing their skills more efficiently.

Dar Almansora Co. was a sales agency representing stationary and printer brands in Libya, among which Brother, Kyocera, and Casio calculators, printers, copiers, and fax machines, in addition to BILLCON counters, and SENTRYSAFE safes.I was hired to direct sales in their Benghazi branch, for which I was responsible for maintaining relations with previous, in addition to carrying out business development activities to get new clients onboard.In less than 8 months, I was able to bring in major clients, and also trippled the sales from last year in the same area (Benghazi, Marj, Albeydha, Derna).My achievements in the position were:1. Turning Kyocera and Brother into a brand that corporate workers from various client organizations liked, as I provided long term after services, and was able to turn around some technical issues from competition into advantage with our products (e.g. Brother Fax 2820 sales were increased 400% because of MFP capabilities, and also my research led me to the ability to connect it to the internet through a modem offered by Libya's Hatif Libya Telecom Company).2. Kyocera heavy duty office copier sold 250% more, with more than 20 new clients replacing their Konica Minolta and Develop with the Kyocera 1350.3. Sold a large MFP document processor (Kyocera TASKalfa 2420 A3 color printer (for USD 19,840), which constitutes a month sales worth.4. Established a consitent reseller relationship for Casio calculators, selling more than 400 pc per month through resellers.5. Introduced label printers from Brother to the local market, although it still struggled with sales.6. Sold more than 2 pc of BILLCON counters per month for 6 months (which won't sell much due to the high price, but I was able to understand how to promote them by working on fixing De La Rau counters in government banks).7. Refurbished and sold old Kyocera, Brother, in addition to SENTRYSAFE safes.

I started with Dar Alkafaa as an apprentice with the Technical Department, and I worked my way up to supervise the R&D Office,During my time as an IT Technician, I was working on refurbishing fax machines, copiers, printers, De La Rau banknote counters, and improving the Technical Support aspect of the company.As the company works on document storage solutions, there was a great opportunity to grow in the Libyan local market, and that is by integrating those (archiving) machines with a computer UI, something that I have introduced to the CEO early in 2007. The company then partnered with a manufacturer from Italy to win a multi-million dollar contract with a government organization in Libya to procure and install several hundreds of the Italian manufacturer's document storage and physical archive management depo.My achievements were:1. Introducing a ticketing system using a simple program to the Technical Support deprtment2. The computer UI integrated to the depos using a simple barcode reader for files was a selling point for the huge contract in 2007, where I delivered the presentation myself (receiving a nice bonus for the presentation).3. I introduced an idea to the Italian manufacturer, as I was part of a team along with the CEO, where we visited the manufacturer facilities, and before the visit I developed a proposal for the manufacturer to establish a factory in Libya (specifically Misurata where they got their materials from), and the selling point was: shorter supply chain, lower wages, less transportation and shipping costs. (they gave it some serious consideration before 2011).
