Throughout my time in Methven’s design team, I have been responsible for the design, development and testing of new products, to ensure that both the customer’s needs and the regulatory requirements are satisfied. I have developed great relationships with both in house and external suppliers to ensure product excellence is achieved. I have also been involved with many after sales and service issues with current product. In all cases I have been able to rapidly evaluate problems and provide practical, well validated solutions for our products and customers.

In 2003 Methven began its journey to become a world leader in the design and manufacture of shower technologies. To allow Methven to reach this goal, myself and the Toolroom team rapidly evolved the Toolroom into a world class facility. We have developed systems and procedures to allow us to produce tooling of a standard and tolerance that our competitors cannot match. I have been able to be a part of the New Product Development process at every stage. Starting with the building of highly technical prototypes, through tool design and manufacture, and ending with the manufacture of production jigs, fixtures and test equipment. At RPM International Tool & Die I completed my Trade Certificate in Machining and Toolmaking, and was exposed to a vast array of plastic injection tooling. I worked on everything from 6-ton single cavity stack mould tools, to finely detailed tooling for consumer electronics manufacturers. The experience gained from my time at RPM set me up well with the skills I needed to be successful in my next roles.• Producing high quality plastic injection tooling in accordance with ISO 9000 standards.• Introduced to CNC machining and CAM programming.• Bench Toolmaking.• Meeting tight deadlines.
