Temporary promotion to cover absence as part of Yorkshire and the Humber Regional Scientific Support Services.

I currently work for West Yorkshire Police as a Senior Crime Scene Investigator. I also work as part of the Yorkshire and the Humber Scientific Support, which is one of the largest bodies of its type in the UK. I am responsible for investigating a wide variety of crime scenes, particularly serious and major crime. I investigate and record crime scenes in accordance with ISO9001 and ACPO guidelines, whilst working to a dynamic risk assessment.I produce detailed reports as a result of my investigation, which are used as a key part of Police enquiries.I produce evidential statements of my findings for presentation in Court where required.I devise and carry out forensic strategies for crime scene examinations.I develop and deliver forensic training to Police Officers and Staff to maintain high standards within West Yorkshire Police.I deliver CSI inputs to children as part of the West Yorkshire Police Explorer programme and to numerous other schools across the county.
