As the Controller of US Operations I drew upon my previous experiences to direct and provide oversight of the finance department for the US subsidiary of this multi-national organization (forecasted revenues of approximately $200M). I maintained control over complex accounting functions, financial auditing and reporting, and financial consolidation functions for US operations, inclusive of 9 locations. I also evaluated processes and procedures, establishing structures and systems to align company vision with financial objectives to ensure sustainable growth.Some highlights of my experience in this role include…• Managed and reviewed monthly financials with explanations of variances to expose cost and sales issues; and served as the point of contact concerning external audits and the Sarbanes-Oxley review; • Prepared the consolidation of financial statements for global headquarters and managed end of month, end of quarter, and end of year reporting inclusive of departmental, business unit, and legal entity reporting.• Orchestrated the conversion of accounting software for 16 global offices; coordinated and implemented the transition from eight different software systems to one common system, improving efficiency and accuracy.• Generated an annual cost savings of approximately $350K; established a Shared Service Finance Center, replacing individual accounting departments for six locations across the country

As a Senior Accountant I oversaw the integrity of accounting functions through recording, verifying, consolidating and monitoring financial transactions. I oversaw reconciliations and financial reporting and acted as the point of contact for external auditors regarding the review of revenue and invoicing processes. Closely worked with the CFO in a multi-faceted role, preparing financial information for the Board of Directors, Internal Auditors, and External Auditors. Supervised and managed several accounting areas, including Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Collections. Performed due diligence on a potential acquisition that would have added $4 million in additional annual revenues. Completed extensive business and contract evaluations for the holding company in preparation for sale of the company after the holding company's purchase by Wells Fargo. Prepared financial evaluations of potential clients and assisted the Sales Department with the development of contract proposals. Implemented the installation and conversion to the Great Plains Dynamics CS+ accounting software. Directly responsible for generating over $1.5 million in recurring annual revenue through a detailed review of customer contracts.

Created financial statements, auditor's reports, and corresponding graphical displays for clients. Performed Electronic Data Processing (EDP) exams for financial institutions, analyzing the client's computer system and making recommendations to management. Maintained ongoing relationships with client management. Practice area specialized in financial institutions, but also included work with governmental, not-for-profit, and retail commercial entities. Worked two busy seasons on the tax side preparing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
