I am a patent attorney with extensive experience handling sophisticated patent prosecution, litigation, appeals, and opinion matters. I currently focus on patent prosecution, serving clients of all sizes—from early-stage startups to large corporations—in building, managing, and monetizing patent portfolios. I previously practiced patent law at an elite international law firm.I have prosecuted hundreds of patent applications in a wide range of technological fields, including computer hardware, software, electronic devices, electrical circuits and chips, mechanical devices, and medical devices. I apply a unique skillset to creatively and effectively obtain broad patent grants for clients. For instance, I use written and oral advocacy skills honed by both prosecuting and litigating patents over the past decade to efficiently resolve prosecution and, when necessary, successfully appeal rejections to the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). In addition, I served as lead counsel for a large technology company in a successful appeal to the Federal Circuit of a rejected patent application, directly resulting in allowance of the application.My patent litigation experience includes representing defendants and plaintiffs in appellate and district courts, before the PTAB, and in the International Trade Commission. I developed strategy and counseled clients at all stages of litigation, from pre-filing through trial and appeal. I successfully argued motions in district court and served as lead counsel in an appellate win at the Ninth Circuit. In my current practice, I leverage the skills and insights acquired from years litigating patent cases to develop assertion-ready, monetizable patent portfolios for my clients.I have been selected as a 2020 Super Lawyers Rising Star and have been published and quoted in several industry trade publications.
