Jason Cottrell started his nursing career in the emergency room in 2015. Thanks to his experiences working as a staff nurse, charge nurse, assistant ER manager, ER director, and travel nurse he has a bird’s eye view of how to best support the needs of both ER nurses and emergency departments. His efforts in healthcare even earned him the Daisy Award in 2021, but he always knew he was meant to serve more. Each of these roles helped him understand the struggles of a career in the ER, and help others overcome them. Since then Jason decided to start Apex RN based on his experiences and challenges as a nurse himself. With a mission to place emergency nurses in jobs they love while meeting the needs of emergency departments nationwide.
