Founder & CuratorSharable Cities Apr 2014 - May 2016A venture to explore sharing economy business models. Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much. - Helen KellerWith the advent of social media and information technology, new business opportunities which empower netizens to connect the supply and demand efficiently at the peer-to-peer level are more widely available than before. These new ventures are helping to shape a new sharing movement that is popping up in a number of cities worldwide. In these “shareable cities”, citizens work together to crowdsource goods, services, funding, transportation, money, knowledge, and more. People have access the goods and services they need, for the time period they need them, without requiring ownership. It’s a solution that minimizes idle goods and promotes sustainable resource use while building resilient community networks. An effective sharing ecosystem relies heavily on the availability of information from both business and public sectors. Access to transparent and open data will enable greater innovation since members of the community can leverage shared data sets on transportation, healthcare, and infrastructure, to build products and services that serve the public good.http://shareablecities.com/en/http://shareablecities.com

Council MemberCouncil On The Internet Of Things Jan 2013 - May 2015The Internet of Things is a vision. It is being built today. The stakeholders are known, the debate has yet to start. In hundreds of years our real needs have not changed. We want to be loved, feel safe, have fun, be relevant in work and friendship, be able to support our families and somehow play a role - however small - in the larger scheme of things. So what will really happen when things, homes and cities become smart? The result will probably be an tsunami of what at first looks like very small steps, small changes. The purpose of Council is to forecast what will happen when smart objects surround us in smart homes, offces, streets, and cities. Internet of People is the consultancy branch that advises corporations, public organizations, individuals and institutions on how to manage and facilitate the changes that the Internet of Things will bring.I serve as Council Member. My primary interest is how to use Internet of Things to transform and revolutionize education.
