Performance Enhancements (Ongoing):Specialized team to fix performance issues in the reporting stack. Profile, diagnose, research, and resolve performance issues in PostgreSQL, Node.js GraphQL, supporting microservices, and angular user interface.Feature Parity and data migrations: Assist in customer-critical feature parity to migrate from datacenter into Renaissance cloud services. This includes updating and testing data migration. Common Logging Library:Assist in writing a common logging library abstracting Serilog for use in Renaissance services. The common wrapper provides structured logging for ingestion into Kibana. This library uses middleware to provide correlation ids throughout all services to diagnose issues through microservice architecture. Content Publishing Pipeline: Maintain the Resource Management Service which curates all assessment content. It transforms data from its source in Alfresco CMS through a pipeline that uses a C# application, Amazon Kinesis, and Amazon Lambda before being stored in MongoDb for retrieval and Solr for discoverability. Argued for and led rewrite of core mapping service. The business rules for this service were lost so a strong test bed was necessary. Rewrite drastically reduced defects in content mapping service freeing team to pursue other business initiatives. Renaissance Growth Alliance:Assisted in design and implementation of an API for Renaissance Partners to register assessment content to be discoverable for teachers to find and assign to their students. This API is a C# web application behind AWS API Gateway that uses a publishing pipeline adjacent to the Renaissance Resource Management Service. Site Migration: Datacenter to Aws Responsible for migrating projects from the infrastructure at the Renaissance Data Center to Amazon Web Services. This involved use of Kinesis streams, Amazon Lambda, Cloudwatch, EC2 dashboard, Terraform Infrastructure-as-Code, and the AWS-SDK.

Generalmillscf.com:Cleaned and refactored code in place after website merger while also delivering work for the business owner. Introduced Inversion of Control using Castle Windsor and GlassMapper for interacting with Sitecore. Included the addition of user profile, accounts, favorites, and gated content. Core Sites: Bettycrocker.com, Pillsbury.com, LivebetterAmerica.com (retired) Stylized website using LESS CSS with designs received through Photoshop. Implemented functionality through Knockout.js. ‘Factory Team’:Created common shared components between all Core Sites. The motivation behind this was to reduce discrepancies in feature implementation between all the Core Sites. Rewrote the “Content Extractor” tool which scraped the Core Sites for data to transform and store in Endeca search.
