Looking back on 30+ years in the workforce, I recognize each step taken to achieve success in the near and distant future. Dedicated time, energy and commitment to various positions in retail customer service, gas station management and carpet cleaning to full-time ministering as an promotor of faith, hope and charity, and then 20+ years of active duty military service in the World’s greatest Air Force ever seen. Today, a senior account executive at a tier 1 network provider, with a mission of helping businesses connect what’s next. Each position, a stepping-stone, to discovering new purpose, self-growth and helping others in their own journey. While each profession or position came with new challenges, military service instilled core values of strong work ethic, integrity, selflessness, reliability and comradery. As an enlisted Airman, I was molded into a fighter jet metrics analyst, a maintenance database administrator, an ambassador in blue and maintenance manager for the USAF Thunderbirds, then a full-time recruiter and leader. These various positions carried my family and I across three countries, five states and a lifetime of memories, friendships and gratitude for everything gained from it.
