I serve as the Manager of Security & Emergency Preparedness for the Turlock Irrigation District. I have served in that role full-time, since 2016; but began serving in the security and emergency management field in early 2015, alongside my other duties. Prior to that, I held other fleet & facility management positions with the District since joining TID in 2003. Before entering the fleet industry, I was responsible for overseeing facilities and maintenance management of manufacturing facilities, at Tier 1 suppliers of the General Motors/Toyota Joint Venture manufacturing plant, NUMMI, in Fremont, CA. Prior to that, I had a career in law enforcement and loss prevention.I have an extensive training and work background in quality management, operations management, asset management and law enforcement. I hold a B.S. degree in Operations Management from California State University, Stanislaus and a Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) designation. I have been an active member of NAFA since 2004, prior to my move to the Emergency Management Field in 2015.
