My interest in architecture is rooted in service. As a service member I protected the freedoms of others to secure their futures. As an architect I serve communities by designing spaces worthy of those same futures. It may be naive of me to think, but I can't shake the notion that architects wield the power to better the world we inhabit; in-turn, bettering ourselves in the process.The way I see it, architecture is an act of service.
