Joint CEO.Developing the Lord Mayor's Appeal charity and its new 5 year strategy, by working with and developing an Appeal board as well as key stakeholders in the City.This has led to developing new initiatives to tackle diversity & inclusion, mental health in the work place and enhancing City and business engagement with charities and community groups, through the 'Lord Mayor's Power of Diversity', 'City Giving Day' and 'This is Me- in the City' initiatives including The Green Ribbon campaign. The latter has helped change the culture and reduce the stigma of mental health in city companies reaching 1 million people.TheLord mayors Appeal is now engaging with 800+ companies, thousands of employees and 300+ charities to help make it a better city for all.

Led on the Tesco partnership, raising more than £13m, working across all elements of their business including Stores, Head offices and Distribution Centres. This is their first partnership that has been extended beyond 12months and has now been extended to become a 5 year partnership.Developed and ran a diabetes risk assessment campaign which had a record 40,000+ people take the test in just one week- helping thousands become aware of their risk and how to take action to prevent becoming type 2

Focus on growing income generation, new business and developing strategic partnerships

To review department and set up fundraising to be fit for purpose, whilst diversifying income streams. Strategies developed for Trusts, Corporate, Legacies and Individual Giving. Established pipelines, systems and processes and infrastructure to grow income and sustain strategies, Income streams set to double with overall net growing by 40%.

Role is to look at how we can innovate to raise more money, make savings, help more people affected by Breast Cancer and raise our profile.To develop an innovation department to roll out a culture of innovation across all departments and 200 staff. Identified and established processes, systems, methodologies and tools to enable innovation across the organisation, including growing income, service provision and profile. Identified £4m growth opportunity (ROI 8:1) for a fundraising team with a turnover of £12m and implementing a new mass participation event.Director of Fundraising, Connect

Brought in to set up a fundraising department to fund the organisation’s work and growth. 80% of the organisation’s income now comes through fundraisingThe strategy generated £1.3m of new income (ROI 5:1) from trusts and major donors and a further commitment of £1.2m from a newly formed major donor development board on the back of securing funding from the City supported October Club. Written bids had a success rate of 30%. Other key initiatives included implementing a legacy strategy, a recruitment drive for individual supporters , developing a case for support video, the first ever aphasia national newsletter, a social media programme to support isolated beneficiaries as well as developing a measuring impact programme and implementing Raiser’ Edge as a new database.

Working with the Director of fundraising reviewed fundraising activities and products with particular emphasis in corporate. The project included contact mapping with key contacts and developing cases for support.

Responsible for a £4m budget (with five direct reports and twenty fundraisers). Brought in to turn around fundraising performance and morale. Developed a £5m fundraising portfolio of opportunities to £23m. Grew income by 25% in first year, including securing £2m of new income in first year and benefiting from the 'This Morning' and 'Sunday Times Christmas Appeals' which raised £500,000. Six and seven figure sums secured from major donors, trusts and corporates.

Growing income by over 300% with continued year on year growth, from £700k up to £3m by the final year, including securing a new £1m+ partnership annually. Proposals had a 70% success rate including creating a number of innovative strategic partnerships. Had four direct reports and project managed new business activity involving 20 fundraisers and nearly 100 colleagues across the organisation across the UK, from Director level to front line staff.

Taking over a corporate portfolio worth £50k. Developed a strategy, which secured and delivered nearly £1m within 12 months.

Key focus was growing corporate partners, resulting in up to 400% growth in income.

Having already passed professional banking exams I was able to enter the degree course in the final year securing a 2:1 Investment and Retail Banking, JPMorgan and Nat West
