Primarily responsible for the preparation and service of food in field or garrison food service operations. Food service section prepares all types of food according to standard and dietetic recipes, as well as ordering and inspecting food supplies and preparing meats for cooking. Interact with vendors. Budget management, meal planning, mentoring and career counseling of subordinates. Provide updates and records for leadership to review and present to higher channels. Conduct periodic evaluations and recommendations

Primary duties: Operations NCO for the second largest Warrior Transition Battalion consisting of over 600 Warriors in Transition (WT’s). Concurrently serving as the Detachment Sergeant. Senior enlisted advisor to the BN S3 and CSM. Supervised school submissions for all Soldiers, Cadre and Civilian contractors. Battalion Training Manager for four line companies; responsible for the accountability, training and readiness of over 30 military, civilian and contracted personnel. Managed the daily operations of the Battalion Headquarters, including facility management of all available meeting and training room venues; coordinated Battalion events. Coordinated VIP visits. Accountable for equipment valued in excess of $100,000. Committee member for events with Madigan Army Medical Center, such as the Holiday Ball (2 yrs) Organization Day (2 yrs). Coordinated Warrior Appreciation Month events to include banquet for over 200 Soldiers and staff. This event included all fundraising, creating and making all plaques and awards given and implementation of event.

Primary duties were to conduct testing of service members for substance abuse by collecting random urinalysis and train of Unit Prevention Leaders for the units throughout the state. Office duties required working knowledge of Micro Soft Word, Micro Soft Excel, Power point and various databases as provided through National Guard Bureau. Success was dependent on being task oriented and having exceptional organizational skills.Prepared training material and conducted workshops, using PowerPoint, which trained over 125 service members in the different battalions to conduct urinalysis and run a successful substance abuse prevention program.Supported Soldier Readiness Process (SRP) by supervising the urinalysis collection station to ensure the integrity of the Chain of Custody was kept and procedures were followed IAW the urinalysis Collection Guide.Reported positive test results by initiating flagging status and notification memorandums to units, possible false positives were channeled through the Medical Review Officer unit.Provided command staff with guidance, IAW AR600-85, regarding administrative procedures for service members who tested positive or self identified for substance abuse. Guidance included conducting assessments at commander’s request, obtaining supporting documentation for ‘false positives’ and/or referring to outside agencies for rehabilitation services.Maintained program’s $87,000.00 budget to ensure we had material for training, testing and travel.Assisted in establishing a tracking system for UA packets.Maintained knowledge of program by attending continuing education workshops and trainings provided by National Guard Bureau.Provided excellent customer service to command of various levels to ensure program success.Provided deployed units with customer service with flagging actions while in theater.
