About Jay Johnson

“Coast” is an important word to me. I served in the U.S. Coast Guard. While I'm happy to live in the mountains, I tend to vacation on the coast where I may SCUBA dive. I'm also a proponent of healthy marine and coastal environments. However, I’m not one to sit back and coast through my professional life. The harder the project, the more I want to dive in. I enjoy breaking complex problems into their simpler composite parts to find the best solution. I’ve been doing this since I was a child when along with a friend, I dismantled an old computer to see how it worked. That's the enthusiasm and collaborative energy that I continue to bring.A mantra that serves me well is: "Do it once. Do it right. Make it last."
