Lead Systems's Engineer/contributor for scoping, analyzing, planning, procuring, and managing projects related to enterprise systems and Sr.administrator/principal architect: Enterprise Oracle and Enterprise SQL Server administration, Service Oriented Architecture platform components; and the IBM Cognos Business Intelligence platform; including the various related Java and IIS web application mid tier platforms . I manage the enterprise MMS databases (Hansen, InforEAM) and the LIMS (lab) system. More recently around 2007 I architected and became the lead database SQL Server administrator for the enterprise systems known as Telog and GraniteXP. For each of at least these 5 database systems (and their test and development environments), I am and have been performing the following: Oversee and perform database installation and configuration inclusive of database parameters; Have Scheduled and performed many upgrades for production/test/dev instances; Manage database privileges and related security elements; Monitor database servers for resource utilization and provide ongoing trend analysis for determining current need and forecasting for future resource requirements; Create logical storage units and map database elements into these logical units; Monitor the use of disk space and take actions to optimize use of space; Perform database back up and recovery operations, and perform database consistency checking, and loading and unloading of data. The depth and breadth of these responsibilities extends to the role of primary systems architect/administrator for SOA/DB2/Webspere and Cognos Business Intelligence and Reporting platforms and their respective production/test/dev incarnations and their mid tier component application servers, namely, 1) websphere, 2) JBOSS/Apache/Tomcat, and 3) (for lims) Oracle Weblogic and accuate report server.
