Working with MSPs, independent advisors and the public and private sector to inform decision making for Skills and Training development within Scotland. Presented key findings and analytics on recent employability programmes including the Renewable Energy Projects and Youth Employment Initiative.

Using both my personal experience and the capabilities of our company, Employment Enterprise, I advise elected officials on Economic Regeneration, Skills and Employability, the labour market and public and private sector policies and initiatives. This includes interrogating data, questioning policy and advising on approaches to economic development throughout the country.

The system not only helps match key jobs with supported individuals but also allows users to create their own employability journey that allows them to build their skills and achieve work. Behind the system is a network of advisors that offer 1-1 support and training as well as Employer Liaison teams that help businesses to make most use of subsidies, training and development support.

Enterprise Screen was founded to deliver highly engaging video content with a wide audience. This initially helped our public sector clients and our projects within regeneration to communicate effectively with partners, participants and potential clients and moved into sharing good news, best practice and the impact of our regeneration work. The company now delivers advertising and communications projects for TV, online and multi-media distribution. We have offices in Glasgow Scotland, Toledo, Ohio and Washington DC.

Head of Department Social Studies which encompassed community and economic development Management, staffing, finance, curriculum and business development. Throughout this time I was responsible for broadening the economic development and business development work of the College. This involved innovative programmes and employability initiatives as well as being responsible for the the Modern Apprenticeship programme. We also pioneered training for the military (with the British Army, Royal Navy and Royal Airforce) throughout Scotland.

First elected in 1984, the SNP group on the council developed and led many changes. Member of the Community Development committee and highlighted the importance of drawing Economic and Community Development together.I played a key role in monitoring and publicising of serious radioactive pollution in areas vacated by the military after decommissioning of WW2 aircraft. The ongoing issue in Dalgetybay remains a public health concern and has only been officially acknowledge in the past decade. As Leader of the SNP Group I also contested both U.K. parliamentary seats and European Constituency for the Edinburgh and the Lothians.
