I've spent about 10 years waiting tables/ bartending. I love the restaurant business and the ability to communicate with so many people. Working in a restaurant demands teamwork, effective leadership, planning, cooperation, and a solid idea or concept for the business. I believe I picked up on those skills as an employee and showcase those things through my work daily. Recently was a Sales Consultant at a car dealership and that was a big transition from being a bartender. Long hours and high demands for cars created a pressure packed scenario. Selling is cars is difficult but also rewarding when you see someone drive away with a smile on their face. However, it is not something that I wanted to do long term and chose to leave. I hope my skillset can translate to another industry and still allow me to succeed.
