I have full responsibility for the conceptual design, detail design, drafting, procurement preparation, fabrication preparation, quality assurance and commissioning of large scale assemblies.

Developing machine vision and infrared temperature detection tools using Python. Automating record and report generation using Microsoft PowerAutomate.

I assisted in the creation of large drawing packs to support the manufacturing of work projects. I also performed some sheet metal design and bracket design for an autonomous mine-based communications project.

My main responsibilities in this role included liaising with clients and fabricators to facilitate the full design process from requirements engineering to manufacturing drawings. I developed key skills in this role including creating legible, accurate drawing packs and problem solving skills. This role allowed me to connect the knowledge I gained in class.

Working with fellow team members to design, construct, validate and race a bespoke aerodynamics package for our Electric Vehicle in 2018. As system head, I have overseen the following: - Research of aerodynamic principles and prior art - Design of components using CAD software including Solidworks - Usage of CFD programs such as ANSYS to visualise.
