I'm a software engineering leader who has built multiple teams from the ground up. My superpower is resolving the human issues in engineering teams so they can be more productive. My decade in engineering at Google gives me technical credibility with software teams, but I like to spend my time focusing on issues of communication, prioritization, and org design that cause teams to expend energy in unproductive directions.My expertise is in backend and infrastructural software, including web-scale data storage and analysis, resource efficiency, productionization and reliability, and backend system design.I try to lead with humility and vulnerability, modeling an environment where it's OK to take risks and make mistakes.
