Continuing and expanding upon my sales and hospitality skills at one of LA’s best and busiest dispensaries.

I was one of the top salespersons at the company’s flagship dispensary, who consistently exceeded daily and monthly sales goals, in a highly regulated industry, within one of LA’s most popular and upscale shopping districts.Additionally, I was our store’s union steward (UFCW 770) from 2022-2024. I also led our store’s comprehensive onboarding and training for new employees, resulting in high employee retention and satisfaction. Other responsibilities included P&L analysis and recommendations; data entry and reporting; and customer service and support.Highlight: My creation of an emergency POS and Sign In document in 2019 saved MedMen untold thousands of dollars because it allowed the store to continue serving our guests in the event of an internet outage, thus alleviating the need to turn away customers and their business. The template was later adopted and used at all MedMen stores nationwide.

I have performed on over 25 internationally-released recordings, and have performed on multiple tours across the US, Canada, Europe, and the Caribbean, as well as Shanghai and Hong Kong.Responsibilities/Skills: Project Management—planning and leading multiple end-to-end album releases and recording sessions, and planning and executing national tour schedules and tour marketing campaigns; Retail merchandising and marketing, and merchandise strategy and execution; Event production and management, and artist partnerships and event sponsorships;Negotiating with agents, venues, and vendors;Budget creation and cost control.Extensive non-profit work including Sweet Relief Musicians Fund Nashville, Birmingham Childrens Theater, Greater Birmingham Humane Society, Alabama School of Fine Arts, MS Society of Alabama and Mississippi, and Habitat for Humanity, among many others.Artists I have shared the stage with include: Allman Brothers Band, Anthony Bourdain, Black Crowes, Buddy Guy, David Ryan Harris, Drive By Truckers, Fabulous Thunderbirds, Gillian Welch, Gov’t Mule, Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit, North Mississippi All Stars, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Santana, St. Paul & the Broken Bones, String Cheese Incident, Tommy Womack, Widespread Panic, and Will Kimbrough, among many others.Highlight: My greatest financial success was as founder of jamband cover band Possum (2004-14), which averaged 120 shows/ $400,000 per year for the life of the band.

Highlight: Assembling and leading a 3-person team, I conceptualized, planned, and executed the marketing and promotional budgets for 9 internationally- distributed CD releases, resulting in over 500K units sold during my tenure.

Highlight: Store was voted NARM’s “Small Retailer of the Year” in 1996 and 1997, given to small market record stores with over $1M in sales per year; my primary responsibility was recruiting, developing, and leading the store’s sales team. Store was also a founding member of the Coalition of Independent Music Stores.
