As a Stanford Research Assistant, I work with professors and fellow students to conduct historical research on topics such as civil rights, social movements, and African American history. I use my research skills to collect, analyze, and synthesize data from various sources, such as archives, databases, and interviews. I also communicate my findings through written reports, presentations, and publications.In addition to my academic pursuits, I am also the founder and president of The United Afro Student Organizations, a network of student groups that promote cultural awareness, social justice, and community engagement among African American students and allies. I lead a team of 5 executive board members and oversee the planning and execution of events, such as workshops, panel discussions, and fundraisers. I also partner with other organizations and stakeholders to advocate for the interests and needs of our members. Through this experience, I have developed my leadership, management, and communication skills, as well as my passion for making a positive impact on society.
