I am a co-founder of Quick Legal Coverage, an attorney outsourcing platform that launched on the web, Apple IOS, and Android in February 2020. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, I am a seasoned manager of complex legal projects, a transnational lawyer, and an entrepreneur who currently manages a multidisciplinary practice. I began my legal career as an associate at a Manhattan real estate and estate planning firm. In 1997 the U.S. State Department seconded me to my first international posting after which I served for 17 years overseas as a property rights specialist in the Middle East, Caucuses, and the former Yugoslavia. As a transnational lawyer, I managed legal teams working with the United Nations, World Bank, International Monetary Fund and the North Atlantic Treaty Alliance on legislative, diplomatic, and legal reform projects including, the division of public assets between successor states of the former Yugoslavia, restructuring domestic wartime debt in Bosnia and Herzegovina, developing settlement proposals for territorial and property disputes in Cyprus, and drafting framework legislation for restituting disgorged property in Iraq, South Ossetia and the Balkans. I am also an advocate for the realization of civil and political rights who monitors election processes in the United States and abroad as a volunteer. I returned to New York City in 2014 to lead the second generation of my family-founded real estate firm, and to open my own practice providing legal, succession planning, management, and business advisory services to closely-held real estate companies. I am a member of the International Bar Association, and am admitted to practice in New York, and in the Eastern and Southern Districts of the US Federal Courts. I earned my undergraduate degree at Boston College. Fellow Boston College alums Kyle S. Edmonds Darren L. Kirton and myself founded BridgeBuilder 146 to develop the Quick Legal Coverage software, a digital marketplace for attorneys to outsource work to other attorneys who seek coverage for court appearances and other legal assignments.
