As a Content Creator, I build inclusive communities through human-centered stories of transformation, but it was my earlier work on stage that later informed my approach behind the camera. Performing in several productions for the El Teatro Campesino Theatre Co., I owe much of my success to the generous mentoring of Luis Valdez, the Creator/Director of La Bamba. It was his advice to find the corazón (heart) of every story, and then create a compelling narrative and visual elements to support it and spark emotion.For the last 11 years, I served as the Senior Producer & Editor at CrossFit, where I introduced the idea of including diverse and at-risk communities to make the brand more accessible and build awareness beyond elite athletes.
