As of April 2021, it had around 30,000 subscribers in six countries.• Joined as one of the five founding team members of the company’s Southeast Asia product, officially launched in March 2020• Wrote deep, detailed, and well-narrated analytical and investigative stories for an audience that included investors, founders, CEOs and other executives, government organisations, graduate students, and more• Brainstormed and pitched story ideas along with the rest of the team to set The Ken Southeast Asia’s weekly editorial agenda• Helped manage The Ken’s newsletter, Beyond The First Order

Tech in Asia is a Y Combinator alum and a leading tech media, events, and jobs platform in Southeast Asia.• Helped the Editor-in-Chief manage a team spread across the region, including writers, graphic artists, and video producers• Assisted with Editorial strategy and quality, and implemented processes to improve the team’s efficiency (for e.g. crafted Tech in Asia’s guidelines for scoops and anonymous sourcing). Together with our team, I transitioned Tech in Asia from a community-driven to subscription-based publication• Supervised the daily operations, including generating story ideas, planning, assigning and editing stories, as well as hiring and mentoring staff• Wrote news and in-depth stories on a regular basis

• Wrote and edited news and features, and helped manage Tech in Asia’s Southeast Asia team• Cultivated strong relationships with sources and contacts• Ideated on content for the annual Tech in Asia conferences (Singapore,Jakarta, and Tokyo)
