As an organizational problem-solver, I thrive in environments where I can create order out of chaos and create new systems to connect people and data. I have partnered with stakeholders, organizations, and professionals to turn their talent-related ideas, concerns, and needs into research and theory-based solutions. I strive to be a true scientist-practitioner and have worked with a range of companies from start-ups, Fortune 100 companies, government agencies and currently in a research and development capacity with a focus on assessment, selection, and development. In my graduate teaching, research, and practice, I have deep knowledge and experience with many Industrial/Organizational Psychology topics. In total, I have over 25 years of experience creating, conducting, and reporting on research designed to alleviate organization’s people-related issues; over 10 years of experience as a professor coaching, mentoring, and supervising high potential graduate students’ research and development into successful professionals; and over 7 years of consulting experience across three different organizations. Specific areas of expertise include creating programs, services, and interventions that encourage diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), leader development and effectiveness, aligning people with team and organizational cultures, and understanding high performers issues with stress, burnout, and resilience.My academic research has been selected as a best paper in the Journal of Research in Personality, a Top 20 nominated article in the Rosabeth Moss Kanter Award for Excellence in Work-Family Research, and cited in BBCNews online and various International news organizations. My research interests center on contemporary topics and issues with a focus on doing good research that matters.
