My passion for excellent visual and written communication has endured my 20-year marketing career because I understand how foundational it is to a business or organization's success. When authentic, meaningful messaging resonates with an audience it is remarkable to witness. Externally, good communication is imperative for customer acquisition and retention. Internally, good communication brings out the best in employees when used as a tool to encourage, motivate, and improve operational efficiencies. Without good communication, even the best business and marketing strategies fall flat.As a marketing professional, I’ve spent two decades designing and developing internal and external solutions to help my employers succeed in their individual marketplaces. I've developed solutions for B2B, B2G, and B2C companies including healthcare, higher education, civil engineering, and big box and craft retailers.For the past 13 years, I've worked for civil engineering firms. Ten of those years were spent as a marketing director. I developed and implemented inbound marketing strategies to sell professional engineering and land surveying services in multiple states across the United States. Most recently, and due to a company acquisition, I have found myself in a completely different role outside of marketing as a project coordinator. In this role, I assist civil engineers and land surveyors with a variety of public and private projects by helping create fee proposals and submitting various applications to authorities having jurisdiction to facilitate the entitlement process for land development.
