In an AWS cloud environment architected micro-services-based applications. The applications use Angular 18 and Syncfusion on the fronted and Java-based Spring Boot on the backend. As the Product Architect, I was involved in the software design, database design, business analysis, requirements gathering and mentoring of full-stack developers.

In a J2EE environment, designing and developing a Struts based web application

In a JEE 5.0 environment designed, developed and implemented parts of the Veterans Administration GI Bill project (Chapter 33). Chapter 33 is a web-enabled application using Spring, JPA, JWS. Individual development efforts include implementing web services using JWS, writing DAO’s using JPA and writing JSP’s.

In a J2EE environment designed and developed the Army Knowledge Online (AKO) project. AKO is the U.S. Army’s web based portal for all soliders. AKO uses Java, JSP, Struts, Spring security and Oracle and K databases on the backend. Responsible for designing new features as well as perfoming maintainenace on existing code.

In a JEE 5.0 environment architected, designed and implemented the Credit Programs Portfolio Management System (CPPMS). Researched the latest technologies to integrate COTS products with in-house custom Java code.CPPMS is web-enabled using JSF and AJAX on the front end, JBoss Seam as middleware and EJB3 on the back end with an Oracle database.

In a J2EE evironment designed and implemented a Data Access Object (DAO) persistence layer for the Pesistent Surveillance and Dissemenation System of Systems (PSDS2) using Hibernate, SQL Server 2005 and JBoss. Also, created 3D Models of the area of interest utilizing CIB and DTED imagery. Performed install and configuration for all of the systems for the Eagle Eye variant of PSDS2.

In a J2EE evironment architected, designed and developed a portal-based application using WebSphere Portal, Struts and Hibernate. The application allows agents to input, track and create reports for criminal investigations. Duties also include hands-on consulting and mentoring in the RUP, OO modeling, and expert implementation techniques. Also responsible for application of OO principles to ensure the success of internally developed and externally developed and supported applications.

In a J2EE environment designed and developed a web-based application using Java and Struts. The application allows users to view and edit files that were processed by a batch processor. Individual development efforts include using JDBC, JSP and Struts on WebSphere. Other duties include being a mentor for less experienced team members.

In a J2EE environment architected, designed and developed a web-based application called the Assignment and Correspondence Tracking System (ACT). ACT is a Knowledge Management system that provides a standard process to assign tasks, respond to inquiries and share correspondence internally. Individual design efforts include OO analysis and design of the application. Individual development efforts include writing the Data Access layer for the application using JDBC and EJB's as well as Struts, JSP and Web Services development. Other duties include being the project DBA as well as Solaris system administration.

In a J2EE environment designed and developed a Java application that modified a properties file based error message system to use an XML based system to provide more user-friendly error messages.

In a J2EE environment designed and developed a Java application that enables engineers to develop products more quickly and efficiently. The CrossPoint product utilizes Entity beans, Session beans, Swing, servlets, JSP and COTS combined with an Oracle database on Windows NT. Individual design efforts include OO design of key features in the product. Individual development efforts include design, development and deployment of stateless session beans, servlets and client coding utilizing Swing, JDBC and XML, as well as implementing a point-to-point asynchronous JMS report utility. Also trained and mentored junior software engineers.

In a J2EE environment designed and developed a Java application that monitors and reports on the status of a customers Service Level Agreement (SLA). The SLA project utilizes Session beans and TopLink with an Oracle database, as well as a servlet user interface. Individual design effort included database design and OO design of the session beans. Individual development efforts include stateless session beans and servlets, also trained and mentored junior software Engineers. Developed two trouble-ticket applet prototypes using Swing and JDBC.

Developed a WWW application that utilized Java, Oracle Webserver and PL/SQL to access an Oracle database and display the appropriate fields from the queried database tables. HTML 3.2 was utilized to include tables, frames, imagemaps, animated GIF's and Java applets. Also, designed a Microsoft Access database to insert, update and retrieve data to track the progress of the phases of a development project through a web browser using IIS 3.0 and Cold Fusion.

Developed a WWW domain registration interface for InterNIC registration services using C language. Developed and maintained registration software using Ingres forms and embedded SQL. Administered systems support for Sun workstations including building DNS and HTTP servers. Answered Action mailbox at InterNIC , which included systems related problems and answered Webmaster mailbox at InterNIC, which included WWW related inquiries.

Designed, developed and implemented OLIT/X windows applications to provide tools for Systems Administrators. Maintained and debugged TCP/IP communications software. Transitioned thousands of lines of BSD UNIX systems code to System V. Installed and setup Solaris NIS+ networks.

Designed, developed and implemented C language and X windows applications to provide a graphical user interface for mission critical software. Team leader of software development team. Administered systems support for Sun workstations in a Client/Server environment utilizing NFS. Briefed customer on specifications and design of software.

Managed 35 technicians and trained them on the use of UNIX and UNIX based computers.
