When I was about 15 years old, I had a strong desire to be a history teacher. But one day, I found myself in college not majoring in history, but rather in Pre-Seminary Studies. As I completed my studies, it became clear to me that I needed to leave "History" behind and pursue more of a ministry path. I eventually joined my wife, Sharon, and our friend Robin, and the three of us were involved in a traveling music and speaking ministry for about 25 years. One day, I saw an ad in the newspaper which said that Chick-fil-A was looking for Operators in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I applied and was selected to open Chick-fil-A Jefferson Pointe. I had the privilege opening the first free-standing Chick-fil-A restaurant in Fort Wayne and the Northern most franchise at the time. Since the day we opened, I have enjoyed a "market-place ministry" where I get to sell chicken and have a positive impact on people.In 2019, I applied and was selected for the opportunity to open a new free-standing restaurant in Fort Wayne, Chick-fil-A Coliseum Blvd. I get to serve people, not through speaking from a church pulpit, but by providing a place where my guests can be renewed physically, emotionally, and yes, even spiritually.
