The California Air National Guard entrusts me with the leadership and execution of the 163d Operations Group, where I oversee all aspects of the group's operations, training, and readiness, as well as the supervision and development of over 300 personnel. I have been serving as a Commander for more than 5 years, and I have over 24 years of experience in the military, both in the Air National Guard and the Army.I’m vastly experienced in leading people, nurturing talent and developing leadership teams to thrive in complex environments. I’m extremely experienced in all aspects of the MQ-9 Reaper to include formal training, combat operations, domestic operations and support functions. My teams have led the MQ-9 enterprise as the first to stand up MQ-9 flying operations in the Philippines and normalized MQ-9 remotely piloted aircraft in the National Airspace by enabling mission control element units to initiate local flying operations in Tennessee, South Carolina, and Ohio.I have a strong background in aviation, having flown and taught the MQ-1 Predator and MQ-9 Reaper remotely piloted aircraft, as well flown the AH-64 Apache attack helicopter. I have participated in combat missions in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as supported humanitarian and disaster relief efforts in California and beyond. I hold a Master of Arts in Management, a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Management, and an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences. I am passionate about enhancing the capabilities, performance, and safety of my group and its members, and advancing the goals and values of the California Air National Guard.
