• Provide administration and oversight for all recreational sports facilities that serve a campus of 48,000 students, 39,000 faculty/staff and over 1.2 million users annually. • Manage facility, membership and equipment operations for more than 375,000 square feet of indoor space and over 45 acres of outdoor space. Facilities include three indoor comprehensive recreation facilities, two indoor pools, a rental facility, a high ropes challenge program, an outdoor adventures rental center and three outdoor field complexes that contain tennis, basketball and sand volleyball courts as well as artificial turf and natural grass fields.• Responsible for all membership services operations, which include member recruitment/retention and generating more than 1.5 million dollars annually through membership, locker, pro shop equipment, daily guest pass and concession sales. Provide services for 3,000+ faculty/staff, alumni and community members. • Directly supervise a professional staff of 3 employees and indirectly supervise an additional 17 full time staff and over 300 student employees.

•Administered all aspects of Parks and Recreation Services for a community of 114,000 residents. Responsibilities included the overall management of aquatic programs, ice programs, day camps, senior programs, volunteer opportunities, facility/shelter rentals, boat rentals/river trips and special events. •Responsible for the overall management of 157 parks and 15 recreational facilities, which included 2 golf courses, 3 outdoor pools, 2 ice arenas, 2 community centers, 2 canoe liveries, an indoor pool, a senior center, a farmers market and a customer service/rental facility.•Assisted with the overall management of a 9 million-dollar general fund budget, comprised of 3.8 million in programming sales and user fees and 5.2 million in operating expense, and a 1 million-dollar capital improvement budget. Responsible for all aspects of budget management, budget forecast, budget development and budget reporting.•Directly supervised a professional staff of 9 recreation supervisors, which included union and non-union staff, and indirectly supervised over 300 seasonal employees.

•Managed a variety of special projects related to facilities, membership management, risk management and strategic planning for the Division of Campus Recreational Sports that serves a campus of 38,000 students, 7,000 faculty/staff and over 1.9 million users annually.

•Oversaw and administered all aspects of the Department of Recreation for both a university of 10,000 students and the city of Denver community. Responsibilities included the overall management of all recreational programs, which included fitness/wellness, aquatics, ice programs, gymnastics, youth activities, intramural sports, sport clubs, adult sports, open recreation and facility rentals. •Assisted with the daily management and scheduling of the 440,000 square foot Ritchie Center for Sports and Wellness facility, which included a fitness center, Olympic size swimming pool, two ice arenas, two three-court gymnasiums, a youth gymnastics venue and two outdoor fields.•Assisted with the overall management of a 7 million-dollar budget, which included 4 million in membership and programming sales, 3 million in operating expense and produced a net return of 1 million to the division. •Supervised a professional staff of 4 program directors, 11 program managers and indirectly supervised over 300 part time employees.

•In addition to responsibilities of Associate Director of Recreation & Scheduling also took on interim responsibilities of Director, which included the following:•Directly managed the 7 million-dollar recreation budget, which included 4 million in membership and programming sales and 3 million in operating expense. Managed all budget operations, which resulted in a net return of $990,000 to the division. •Directly supervised a professional staff of 6 program directors, 16 program managers and indirectly supervised over 300 part-time employees.•Oversaw and managed all aspects of marketing for the Department of Recreation which included creation and execution of marketing plans, printing and publication of marketing collateral, print and radio advertising and website redesign.

•Managed the overall operation of the 14,500 square foot Coors Fitness Center for a university of 10,000 students and a community membership base of 1,900. Responsibilities included the daily supervision of over 85 pieces of cardiovascular equipment, 75 pieces of strength training equipment, child care facility, 2 group fitness studios, spinning studio, martial arts studio, massage therapy studio, 2 general locker rooms, 2 gold club locker rooms, 2 racquetball courts, squash court and front desk/membership sales operation.•Responsible for the overall management of a 2 million dollar budget, which included 1.3 million in membership and programming sales and $700,00 in operating expense. Managed daily budget operations, which resulted in a net return of $635,000 to the division. •Supervised a professional staff of 3 employees and indirectly supervised over 85 part time employees.

•Marketed, planned, scheduled, organized, evaluated and administered all aspects of the Recreation Department for a college of 1,500 students. Responsibilities included the direct supervision of all recreational programs, which included intramural sports, sport clubs, open recreation, fitness/wellness, outdoor recreation, facility membership, and building supervision. •Directed the daily management of a 72,000 square foot airframe recreation facility, which included two basketball/volleyball courts, two indoor tennis courts, a 1/5 of a mile two lane indoor running track, a 50 yard Astroturf field, a 5,000 square foot cardio/strength area, a multi purpose area, a batting cage, equipment checkout and a 100 seat clubhouse/function room.

•Marketed, planned, scheduled, organized, evaluated and administered all aspects of the Recreational Sports Department for a college of 5,900 students. •Assisted in all aspects of daily management for a new $6 million dollar fitness center, which included two gymnasiums, a 7,000 square foot exercise/free weight area, group fitness/dance studio and equipment checkout.
