BrokerTec is the industry-leading, dealer-to-dealer electronic trading platform supporting US Treasuries, US and EU repo markets and European government bond cash markets (Now part of CME Group, previously NEX Group and ICAP)Responsible for the design, development and delivery of software components to provide clearing and reporting services for the European business, managing a team of developers.• Designed and managed the development of the application components and supporting database objects, enabling the business to offer clearing through LCH, Monte Titoli, BME Clearing and Eurex Repo, as well as instructing bilateral settlement agents using SWIFT.• Successfully delivered many changes and new features to meet business, customer and regulatory requirements.• Designed and developed a generic application component for feeding data between systems, with routing rules and transformations, to provide a reusable standard solution for systems integration. This greatly reduced the time to market for new components.• Managed and delivered the insourcing of the Java technology platform used by brokers, data vendors and market makers, after the Plus SX acquisition. This enabled a large cost saving by removing a dependency on an external company for support, and also allowed future enhancements to be developed in-house by my team.• Designed the new BrokerTec Clearing application architecture and flows which were required to support the CME technology migration.
