I have a passion for providing cardiovascular care. My path originated as an EKG technician in a community hospital in Salt Lake City, then propelled me to medical school in New York City, followed by 6 years of combined Internal Medicine Residency and Cardiovascular Fellowship training at Vanderbilt University Medical School. Since 1995, I have practiced at Tristar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee with Centennial Heart, LLC. I enjoy seeing patients in clinic, participating in our hospital's interventional call schedule and performing cardiac catheterization and percutaneous coronary interventions. I actively participate in call coverage in our Coronary Intensive Care Unit, Shock Team, and PERT. I enjoy participating as sub-investigator in many cardiology/interventional clinical trials along with my partners. I currently serve as director of cardiovascular training for our hospital's new Internal Medicine Residency training program, l and enjoy teaching both students of cardiovascular medicine as well as my patients. I have enjoyed serving in various hospital capacities including: Chairman of Cardiology Department; Medical Staff President for the hospital, and chairman of our hospital's Quality Committee ("PPEC"). I currently serve as moderator for our hospital's quarterly Morbidity and Mortality Conference.My clinical privileges extend to St Thomas Midtown, St Thomas Stones River, and St Thomas Dekalb Hospitals. I have held weekly clinics in Woodbury, Tennessee since 1997, and monthly in Smithville, Tennessee since 2010. I take great pride in seeing patients in their communities in this manner, easing the commute for them when it comes time for clinic visits, while at the same time providing them with world-class tertiary care linkage with our downtown Nashville flagship hospital for HCA (Centennial).
