I broke three TVs when I was little -- pushing their limits with my curiosity and need to understand how they work (okay, okay -- I broke one in the middle of a Matrix-esque move while squirting my sister with a water gun....in high school).I've found that I fix things more nowadays -- I seem to enjoy the dopamine hit of a good problem solved.I'm that friend that you call when need help organizing your thoughts into a decision-making framework (or you just need help setting up your wifi router). You call me because you know that I'm well versed in how things work, and because you know that if I don't know, I'll scour the interwebs trying to figure it out.I'm that person that submits User Feedback every time I have an idea for an app I'm currently using that's missing a key feature that I'd love to see. Every time I download a new app, it's difficult for me to turn off the part of my brain that sees the flaws with the User Experience or feature set.I told a friend recently that I'm 30% Innovator and 70% Iterator. I love big, paradigm-shifting ideas and often use them as my North Star while designing processes or products, but ultimately, my strength is iterating on the ideas and designs in front of me. I have an eye for finding the simplest optimizations that have the largest impact first, while creating a plan to trailblaze a path toward the big innovations -- taking products from Point A to Point B to Point Z. I truly believe generosity begets generosity.
