Currently on full-time assignment at Stepan Company (formerly Invista) in the Engineering Services Department. Duties involve using AutoCAD 2024 to provide drafting and design support on capital projects in all disciplines; while also supporting Plant Maintenance as needs arise. These responsibilities include generating new P&ID's, developing general arrangements, locating new and existing equipment, preliminary-thru-final design of foundations, structures, and vessels; along with electrical and piping systems. 3D Models are generated for conceptual thru final designs as required by clients. Interface with vendors and outside engineering as necessary throughout projects. Contract assignment at Carolina Power and Light Company, assigned to the Brunswick Steam Electric Plant in Southport NC. Generated I&C and mechanical design packages using AutoCAD R11. Included drawings were CWD's, IWD's, Block Diagrams, P&ID's, and Control Panels. Developed isometric assemblies as required for fabrication. Field work as required.Special Projects:• Control Room Simulator upgrade• New utility piping system for Units

Contract assignment at Training Systems, Inc. Generated technical illustrations using AutoCAD R10. Manuals were primarily used for training in paper mills. Received on-the-job training in both AutoCAD and personal computers. Illustrations consisted of P&ID's, I&C, machine parts, process piping, and site plans. Developed isometrics as necessary. Field work as required. Also, supervised two junior illustrators during period requiring night shift coverage.

Contract assignment at Brunswick Steam Electric Plant. Responsible for updating power plant documents to reflect as-built conditions. Revisions included both the mechanical and electrical disciplines. Field work as required.

Contract assignment at Corning. Hired for the '84-'86 expansion. Responsible for drafting design packages for the installation of production equipment. Drawings included CWD's, IWD's, control panels, and machine parts. Selected Member of the Expansion Support Team. After expansion ended became a Mechanical Technician responsible for the maintenance of new bulk containers; including inspection and leak-testing.Special Projects:• New plant-wide utility piping system• Portable Moisture Sensor

Contract assignment at General Electric Aircraft Engine Group. Responsible for updating drawings involving cutting tools, lifting devices, and turning fixtures. Acquired a working knowledge of CALMA CAD/CAM system. Other duties included blueprinting and filing.
