Over 15 great years of travel on the National Geographic Expeditions ships, I've donned multiple hats—Naturalist, Certified Photo Instructor, Undersea Specialist, and Filmmaker. My lens has danced with the majesty of nature, whispering tales through the clicks and frames. Graduating from Brooks Institute of Photography in 2008 laid the foundation for a visual odyssey that has spanned continents, pole to pole, touching hearts and awakening consciences. My journey extends beyond landscapes and seascapes; it intertwines with the pulse of conservation. Associations with The Nature Conservancy, Sea Shepherd, LightHawk, WildCoast, iLCP, The Alaska Whale Foundation, SYRCL, and others, echo a commitment etched in every frame I capture.Through publications in National Geographic Magazine and National Geographic Channel, my visual narratives have traversed the globe, capturing moments that linger in minds long after the images fade. But accomplishments aren't just snapshots; they're threads binding me to causes I champion—halting commercial whaling in the southern ocean(and we won!), banning the shark fin trade in California (and we won!), and educating over a hundred Latin American environmental prosecutors on the plight of sharks(which has ignited a wave of awareness and action).I strive to craft visual symphonies that resonate, stirring hearts and nurturing a collective appreciation for our planet's fragile beauty. My art isn't just about freezing moments in time; it's a call to action, an impassioned plea to safeguard the wonders that grace our world.
