I have 20+ years of experience in academic primary care Internal Medicine, with long-term roles in education leadership and practice administration. At Penn, I have participated in redesign of outpatient resident education, implementing novel curricula around quality improvement and panel management. I have spearheaded institutional efforts to improve opioid stewardship, behavioral health integration, and effective use of Epic/EMR. I continue to work with national organizations (ACP, SGIM) to advocate at the Federal and State level for sane policy around reimbursement for novel models of care delivery; access to care; funding for medical education; and care of patients with substance abuse disorders.
