This position involved a rotation in both the mechanical and commissioning departments at GE Water and Process Technologies. While in commissioning, I conducted Factory Acceptance Tests on water processing programs which helped solidify my knowledge of fluid flow and plant operations. Additionally, I trained field service representatives on how to properly set up PLC/HMI equipment. I also made an all-inclusive training file that is now used to train new employees. While I was part of the mechanical team my job consisted of aiding the mechanical engineers with sizing and ordering a variety of equipment using SAP. I also dealt with clients and operations staff which helped me learn how to positively interact with different groups of people in order to meet a goal or deadline.
