I started work in the food and customer service industry at the age of sixteen. From those years of experience, I learned the value of customer service in helping a business succeed. During that time, I became a team leader, and I successfully led teams to greater achievements as we continued to break service records at our store.When I turned nineteen years old, I served as a service volunteer for my church for two years. At this time, I learned the value of grit: working through opposition leads to success in the long run. As I continued to interact with people, I became better at my interpersonal skills. I also served as a leader to groups of eight to twelve church volunteers. I headed training and oversaw the progression of the volunteers I served with.On returning home from my volunteer service, I enrolled at Brigham Young University. Between 2020 and 2023, I have succeeded in retaining a near 4.0 GPA. I have taken many skills and business classes and learned skills like coding, business writing, information systems, marketing, finance, economy, business law, and accounting. I am currently in the BYU Marriot School of Business Accounting Junior Core, one of the most prestigious accounting programs in the nation. I intend to graduate with a Master of Accountancy degree, get my CPA, and work for a public accounting firm.I have experience in accounting. In 2022, I worked at the BYU Payroll Office with the job title of Accountant 1. In that job, I developed my skills in Microsoft Office. I frequently took calls answering payroll-related questions concerning W-4s, and W-2s, among other things. I also handled timesheets and work filings.From early 2023 to now, I have worked at the Kennedy Center Accounting Office as an Accounting Specialist. I frequently send wires to other businesses across the globe, handle bank and cash reconciliations, do taxable benefits, and manage study-abroad payments and study-abroad-related emails, in addition to using the Microsoft Office suite.I'm a hard worker and don't quit until a project is completed. I never cut corners and I believe in being honest in all I do. I'm a fast learner and I also learn from my mistakes. I'm constantly striving for excellence in all I do and pushing myself to my limits so I can become a qualified business professional.
