About Jeff May

After a long successful career in the military, the time has come for me to explore new career opportunities. Unlike many military retirees, I know exactly what career path I'd like to pursue, and where I'd like to pursue it. I excel and enjoy my current role and would like to continue utilizing my leadership skills in an IT Management position in the Omaha Metro area. My career began after graduating from college with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, I was then commissioned as an Officer in the U.S. Army. Later in my career, the Army also sent me back to school where I earned two Master's degrees; one in Computer Science, the other in Strategic Studies. Now in my current role as a Colonel in the U.S. Army; I lead a 316-member team in the 24x7x365 operation of 3 networks: Associated Mission Systems and Applications, and Network Operations Center. I establish governance, process of direction and the IT controls necessary to reliably execute command and control of the Nation’s nuclear and strategic forces. I have an in-depth understanding of all technical environments including networks and programming, integration capabilities, data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise applications, and cyber security.Despite my strong technical knowledge; my true expertise lies in providing the strategic direction that results in the retention of highly engaged, high performing teams aligned to meet organizational objectives. In addition, managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines, prioritizing conflicting demands, as well as organizing time and focus bringing assignments to successful completion comes easily to me.The position I seek would allow me to lead the Information Technology Division for a large global organization in either the Public or Private Sector.

Listed skills include Integration, It Project And Program Management, Information Technology, Strategy, and 27 others.
