• Convener, creator, and manager of the City’s first Sustainability and Resilience Action Plan, Thrive Indianapolis, which includes a GHG inventory, climate vulnerability assessment, FEMA multi-hazard mitigation plan, mitigation and adaptation goals and actions, and extensive public engagement process• Organized, planned, fundraised, designed, and run Indianapolis’ first Sustainability Summit, which included 2 workshop, 10 panel discussions, and over 300 participants.• Compiling and evaluating data for a Municipal GHG inventory for the City of Indianapolis• Lead climate action and resilience planning efforts• Co-designed, organized, and hosted INvision Resiliency, the Indianapolis Climathon event - joining 59 cities around the world to “hack” climate related challenges. • Research, design, and implement wellness programs at the free clinic in Bloomington, IN. Coordinate facilitation of various programs by trained volunteers as well as recruit participation from clinic patients. • Co-write and research grants and funding opportunities for the clinic and its programs.• Lead outreach efforts to the Spanish speaking community in the area.

Kingston, Jamaica

• Wrote a report summarizing the different sustainable financing mechanisms for the funding of water and wastewater treatment projects in the Caribbean region. • Participated in several UNEP trainings, including one on facilitation and one on project management.• Assisted in the creation and formulation of various presentations for the GEF CReW project, as well as the office as a whole.

El Salvador

1) Planned, organized, and taught several workshops for service providers using participatory, dynamic methods on various subjects, including Environmental Education and HIV/AIDS Prevention and Education. 2) Taught classes at the school in the village, Agua Fría, on HIV/AIDS prevention and education, First Aid, English, Computers, and Environmental Education. 3) Secured over $2,000 in small grants towards various community-based projects. 4) With the Student Environmental Club in the local public school, designed and organized events such as community clean-ups, nature walks, a parade, an art mural, and a 3 day educational camp.

Pittsburgh

Organized the distribution of materials to 42 high-school teams in the area, arranged conference calls, sorted and organized the intern wiki for the organization, and kept track of the finances.

In charge of all donations solicited for the 2010 summer season. Made contacts with local businesses, collected funds, and saw to it that all sponsors were represented on the league jerseys.

North Allegheny High School

Coached High-school girls team how to play ultimate frisbee, teaching them strategies, drills, and techniques of the game.

Worked directly with the Environmental Coordinator of Carnegie Mellon University, Barbara Kviz, on short and long term projects, such as surveying and improving indoor and outdoor recycling facilities, starting a pre-consumer composting program, and researching and initiating new conservation programs.
