Selective Display Model ProgrammerUnited States Air Force Apr 1986 - Aug 1989Offutt Air Force Base, NebraskaPrimary maintenance programmer for what was at the time, the largest weather model in the US Air Force, producing over 750 weather products per day running on a Sperry (Unisys) mainframe. Spearheaded a very successful streamlining effort in which the program's core memory usage was reduced by up to 75% (a substantial cost savings in a timesharing environment) and the subsystem was reduced from 18 separate executables to only 3, reducing the subsystem build-time from nearly 8 hours to only 30 minutes.
