Foreign Materiel Program Officer
CurrentResponsible for assisting in managing Marine Corps Foreign Materiel Acquisition (FMA) and Foreign Materiel Exploitation (FME) to support USMC Force Modernization programs, Marine Operational Forces, and other initiatives pursuant to service roles, missions and Title 10 responsibility.Supports all facets of requirements solicitation, satisfaction, and execution of Foreign Materiel (FM) programmatic requirements.Participates in the identification of future requirements through knowledge of FMA and FME opportunities.Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of the Marine Corps acquisition community, the Intelligence Community (IC) and builds strong, lasting relationships with Weapons and Technology Division’s primary customers and the FM community.Assists with the overall program definition, organization, and direction.Develops long- and short-range plans.Works with the Program Manager to ensure all legal requirements are adhered to and for coordinating activities with oversight authorities.Performs the full range of administrative and technical duties associated with the Marine Corps FM program.Represents Marine Corps interests at DoD and Joint Service forums.Provides briefings to high level managers and other key personnel.Participates in conferences and meetings relating to specialty areas.
