Office was Burson’s first startup to be profitable in its first year.Mexico CityOpened Burson’s office here in 1991, focusing on NAFTA and crisis management. Counseled Mexican and multinational companies on a range of issues and crisis related to the growth of the Mexico market.MiamiIn 1993, became head of Latin America, and in addition to consulting roles opened offices in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Venezuela, adding to existing locations in Brazil, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. It remains the largest PR network in Latin America, led by many of the executives Hunt recruited.New York CityIn 1996, became vice chair of client services and helped manage a repositioning of the firm toward a more consultative model, while leading new business initiatives and continuing to provide high-level counsel to such major organizations as IBM, AT&T, and DuPont.LondonIn 1997 became Burson’s COO for Europe, with offices in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, The Netherlands, Belgium, Russia, Poland, and Norway. Continued providing counsel to organizations, and gained insight into European business and cultural practices through such clients as Unilever, Coca-Cola, and McDonald’s.
