Charged with defining and measurably improving key processes within the Global Operations Team, reporting directly to the COO. Critical to successfully facilitating rapid change required gaining swift endorsement and support from the COO’s other direct reports – the VP’s of Quality, Global Supply Chain, R&D and the Factory Managers. The initiative’s ROI benefited from the innovative approach of recruiting and training a team of 10 off-shore developers in China to use newly acquired workflow technology to impose process adherence.

In 2002, Kaz acquired Honeywell’s Consumer Products Division, increasing the company from 400 people at 3 locations in 2 countries to 4000 people at 16 locations in 12 countries in North America, Europe and Asia. In addition to the challenge of quickly disengaging from the greater Honeywell’s technology infrastructure, the acquisition came with a mature instance of Oracle’s e-Business Suite to which Kaz would migrate. An ex-pat assignment in Shenzhen (China) in 2004-2005 ensured the China factory’s successful adoption of Oracle Manufacturing.
