About Justin E.
I'm Justin Eng, a Peace-Conflict Studies & Economics double major at W&M set to graduate summa cum laude and perfect gpa in May 2026. I'm interested in policymaking and advisory roles connected to emerging markets and development economics. I have a background in international politics as a policy intern at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation. I interned in business development - economic growth at DAI, and at DHInfrastructure, and covered investment mechanisms, market structure, and capital mobilization. Earlier, I was an inaugural fellow at the Global Research Institute, with three terms at the U.S. Army War College and U.S Training & Doctrine Command, analyzing counterinsurgency, social movements, and the war in Ukraine. I'm founder of a Foreign Policy club (largest chapter in the US), and head finance for the Global Innovation Challenge (largest international relations case competition). I work with the W&M administration to organize initiatives (over 20 events, 80+ discussions, that engaged thousands of students) and represent the college at conferences (SLD-AHS, FDLDP-JQAS, NATO II) and to organizations (NATO, USAWC). I counsels 3-5 other clubs, and mentors students. On the side he sings in an a capella (Barbershop@Nicholson), is part of an art club (Continent), and self-studies Chinese. The son of two full Pell Grant recipients, I've turned to economics and business because I'd like to help lift living standards and build futures in underserved nations. I believe we can all change the world, and I'd love for us to be part of each other's journeys.
