I am an epidemiologist who has over a decade of experience collaborating with stakeholders to design, implement, and manage observational studies and clinical trials. This includes primary and secondary data collection from vulnerable populations during the H1N1 and COVID-19 pandemics. I have critically appraised the literature and used real world data/evidence to document burden of disease, vaccine coverage, and assess if databases are suitable for larger analyses. I am the second author on a manuscript submitted for peer review describing an enhanced safety surveillance study that met a European regulatory commitment. As the Epidemiologist Lead, I supported Safety Teams by providing background rates for adverse events and reviewing safety data from clinical trials, contributing to assessments of benefit-risk. I am experienced wroking on global, cross-functional teams within a matrix environment (example partners: Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Value Evidence/HEOR, Biostatistics, and Data Scientists). My responsibilities included reviewing scientific documents, including protocols, presentations, and regulatory communications, and working with Biostatistics on Statistical Analysis Plans, informing sample size assumptions, and interpreting statistical results. I have contributed to 19 peer-reviewed articles and given 15 scientific presentations. My career has focused on infectious disease and chronic illnesses (COVID-19, influenza, human papillomavirus transmission and associated cancers, HIV, multiple sclerosis, and behavioral and mental health). I am eager to apply my skills to new therapeutica areas and passionate about using pharmacoepidemiologic methods to improve clinical development and evaluations of product safety and effectiveness.Key skills:-Thinking through the pros and cons of using specific data sources and study designs to answer research questions- Identifying nontraditional study partners to speed up study implementation- Drafting and reviewing scientific documents for internal use and regulatory communications- Public speaking- Statistical analyses (Stata)
Listed skills include Data Analysis, Epidemiology, Questionnaire Design, Statistical Modeling, and 15 others.
