As a peer mentor, I work in a team along with a Tippie advisor to mentor Tippie direct admit students through their first semester at the University of Iowa. We go through training during the spring and fall before we are designated 2 class times/groups each week. In the classroom there are various activities that we facilitate to help teach students about the resources in Tippie, navigating college platforms, managing college workloads, registering for classes, and so much more. I have had the privilege to work in this position for the fall of 2022 and 2023.

As a building attendant, I aid customers with all questions and concerns regarding the facility. I make physical as well as over the phone transactions for customer bookings. These bookings include rentals, events, tournament fees, etc. Some other tasks I am required to do are organizational duties. These included reassuring the facility is prepped for rentals, the office work area is tidy, and filing paperwork in its designated area. As well as preparing schedules to be displayed on the facilities TV screens for easy customer access. Some other work included creating invoices and preparing them for submission at the end of the fiscal year.
