Brownstudy Creative is the extra side of my professional experience. At times this has been my primary focus and other times it has moved into more of a secondary role. As a freelance instructor and designer, I teach private music lessons, as part of Music Together and Singers company, and also design and develop websites and materials for clients throughout the US.

Serving as the member of the leadership team, I oversaw the Communications efforts and strategy at Schweitzer Church. In this role, I led the creative team and developed content for print and digital communications. Some major projects during my time already include a logo redesign, the launch of a second non-profit, a new website, and hiring of new staff.

As a member of the IT Communications team I helped propel the mission of the University forward by writing articles about technology while helping support ongoing campus projects that benefited students and staff. • Work alongside the IT communications team to provide support and communication for outages, projects and events• Manage and create email messages and campaigns for campus projects• Develop and post news articles and social media messages• Aid in creation, development and editing of video projects• Manage IT Communications student worker.

I had the opportunity to serve the area of Northwest Arkansas as the public relations and volunteer coordinator. In this role, I assisted with communication strategy, served as a media relations contact, managed social media and website content and designed promotional materials. In addition to the communications role, I managed volunteer groups and opportunities throughout the year.

Leading the creative and video teams, I worked as a hands-on designer and director who brought ideas to life while also strengthening overall brand awareness. A few highlights include: managing the website redesign project, growing our social media following by a 150%, designing print materials, websites, social media campaigns, developing merchandise for conferences and special events and expanding the volunteer team.• Graphic design for print, web and social media• Video and audio production; editing of live services and podcasts• Writing and editing of weekly publications and newsletters• Website development, social media management and advertising strategy

Served as a working communications manager that led a team of writers and designers that created publications for all internal and external church events. Working with the Director of Public Relations, I produced press releases and articles for both on campus and community publications. I also served as a graphic designer assisting in creating campus banners and promotional pieces and helped implement e-newsletters for the Alumni Relations and President's office. I also worked with the website team to maintain staff intranet pages and various department pages.

I worked on the SBJ staff writing feature articles of business events and leaders throughout SW Missouri. I also continued to work as a freelance writer after changing roles.
